As a veterinary journalist and former veterinary practice manager, I have a solid understanding of dental disease, the importance of addressing dental problems in a timely manner, and of what’s involved with putting a pet under anesthesia. However, this comprehensive knowledge does not protect me from worrying about my cat when she’s the one who needs a procedure. When my six-year-old cat was diagnosed with a visible resorptive lesion by Dr. Andrea Tasi, ADOS and Dr. Chamberlain were my first and only choice for Allegra.
Dr. Chamberlain and his staff made the entire experience as stress-free as it could possibly be for both me and Allegra. Dr. Chamberlain clearly understands cats. His gentle approach to performing Allegra’s physical and oral exam resulted in my usually feisty girl being calm and compliant. Jenn Bozic, Dr. Chamberlain’s head technician, managed to draw blood from Allegra and trim her nails without sedation – something that I did not think possible. More importantly, Jenn kept me informed throughout the day of what was happening with Allegra. The frequent updates, delivered with Jenn’s calm demeanor and understanding of my anxiety, went a long way toward soothing my nerves and trusting that Allegra was in good hands.
In all the years I’ve spent as either an employee or client at veterinary clinics, I have rarely if ever seen such exemplary dedication to the client’s and pet’s comfort. Everyone at ADOS, from Kim Haebler at the front desk, to Jenn and Dr. Chamberlain, was absolutely amazing. I believe that you will be hard pressed to find a match for the combination of competence and compassion extended to me at ADOS.
