Christina Nichol

DVM

Dr. Chrissy Nichol received her Bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University in 2013, and went on to graduate with her Veterinary Degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2017. Following graduation, she moved to Northern Virginia and started working as a general practitioner in a busy full service general practice.

As a general practitioner she explored many areas of veterinary medicine such as surgery, internal medicine, behavior, and preventative care, but she fell in love with dentistry. Dr. Nichol completed several advanced level training courses in dentistry and oral surgery, and after six years of general practice she ultimately decided to take the plunge and join Animal Dentistry and Oral Surgery in the summer of 2023. Dr. Nichol is currently pursuing her AVDC board certification in dentistry. Her goal in dentistry is to help improve the quality of life of her patients by providing top notch dental and oral healthcare as well as helping their caretakers understand the importance of their beloved pets’ oral health.

Admittedly, Dr. Nichol is not a Northern VA native, but instead hails from the (very rural) southeastern area of Pennsylvania. NoVA very quickly become a second home for her once she started her journey into Veterinary Medicine. When she’s not working, you can usually find Dr. Nichol reading, painting and drawing, hiking, or training and competing with her beloved Whippets in various dog sports.
